Cheap Eats - Part 1

McDonald's

Can you believe it?  McDonald's, not only cheap, but healthy and made in your own home.

Over the next few weeks, I will be creating tutorials to make your favorite fast food right at home.

Egg McMuffins -

You will need:

6 English Muffins (I will include a printable recipe at the end, or you can use store bought.)

6 Slices of Cheese (I like American, but you could use your favorite, or none at all.)

6 Slices of Canadian Bacon, Strips of Bacon, Cooked Sausage Patties (optional)

6 Eggs

Pepper to Taste

Jumbo Muffin Pan (You can use a standard, but jumbo works best.)

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degree F.  While that is heating grease your pan; I like the spray stuff by Crisco, it works best for us.

Then crack each egg into it's own cup.

Next you are gently going to break each yoke with a fork.  Following that I like to sprinkle each egg with pepper.

You will then place the muffin tin on the middle rack in your oven and bake for about 15-18 minutes, or until the white is solid.

While the eggs are cooking you can toast your muffins and add the cheese and meat if desired.

Once the eggs are finished cooking gently use a spoon to lift them from the pan and place one egg on each English Muffin.

Serve hot and enjoy.

EXTRAS

Cooking Bacon -

I put bacon in the oven to speed up cooking.  425 degrees F for 15 minutes.  Make sure to line your pan, it will get greasy.
